Teaching

In addition to extensive experience as a teaching assistant for both undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, I have independently taught Introduction to Environmental Policy in both in-person (Summer 2022) and asynchronous, online (Summer 2021) formats.

Your understanding and ability to care for each students wellbeing is something I have never seen in a teacher before and it is incredibly helpful with wanting to succeed in your course.

This was the most organized online class I have ever taken. I really enjoyed it!

During all discussions [P]rofessor Young made me feel that my opinion was valid and that even though my answer to the question wasn’t correct she didn’t make me feel bad about answering incorrectly. I always felt that she was assessable and I always felt welcomed in class.

Each lecture, all the assignments, and the entire structure of the class are very well-organized, and I feel like I really learned a lot in it. Creating the weekly checklists was a helpful thing to do and is something I’d recommend all classes have. The instructor is very kind and cares about her students.
